The trip takes you over the highest pass in the Atlas Mountains and we visit the most famous kasbah in Morocco, Ksar Ait Ben Haddou. We pass Berber villages, Morocco’s Hollywood city, Ouarzazate, green valleys where Berbers grow dates, vegetables and herbs. We visit a ceramic village to see colorful, handmade ceramics. On the way back to Marrakech we stop at Morocco’s capital carpet village.

Tour Plan

Day 1 : Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen

Today we will drive to Chefchaouen passing by Rabat where we will visit important places. We continue to Chefchaouen where we’ll arrive in the evening and here we stay overnight in a traditional Moroccan riad/hotel.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Fes

Today we will explore Chefchaouen Medina and then we drive to Fes where we’ll arrive in the evening here we stay overnight in a traditional riad/hotel with dinner.

Day 3: Fes city tour

You will have a guided tour to discover the medina - an old part of the city, and the famous souks of Fes - its narrow streets are filled with ancient mosques and minarets. We will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fes and our guided tour will include a visit to the tannery and the ceramic cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts.

Day 4: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Rissani - Merzouga:

Today we will depart for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco, and the cedar forests of Azrou where we can stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue to Midelt where we will have lunch. We will then follow the Ziz River through the valley and stop to see the Ziz Valley on our way to Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga area – the Camel trek and overnight in the camp:

Today we will explore the desert region and the marvel that is the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We will make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the nomad's way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. We will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch. In the afternoon we will ride the camels to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, and we listen to traditional Berber music.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:

We will wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before making our way back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. We will visit Rissani market and cross the palm lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad to arrive at the Todra Gorge. We will take a walk in the Todra Gorges and have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to the Dades Gorge where we stay overnight in local hotel.

Day 7: Dades gorges – Ouarzazate –Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech:

After breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take the off road track to see the nomad caves. We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses and the Skoura oasis to arrive in Ouarzazate. Then we will depart to Ait Benhaddou and visit the World Heritage site. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech.

Day 8 : Marrakech city tour and free program

You will have a guided tour to discover the multiple facets of Marrakech with a stroll in the labyrinth of the narrow streets of the Medina amongst its famous souks and a visit to the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech.

Day 9 : Marrakech - Casablanca

We will spend the morning at leisure for shopping or relaxing in Marrakech before leaving mid afternoon to arrive in Casablanca. That will be end of Morocco tour.
